An Update From EA Regarding The Lag Issue

An EA rep posted an update on the official forums this week in regards to what they’re doing to fix the reduced frame rate, or lag issue. It appears we’ll be receiving an update this week to help counteract the problem.

As always, I’ll keep you updated as the situation develops.

Some players may be experiencing an issue with decreasing frame rates after the 4.8.1 update. The decreased frame rate issue may cause the application’s display to lag when scrolling and in rare cases cause a crash.

We appreciate your patience. Our team is working to have a solution very soon. Please note the frame rate issue will be improved by the small update just released on 5/16/14.

We will continue to provide updates as our team works on resolving this issue.

We’re not quite there yet, but thanks for being patient.

Friday night’s update improved the frame rate issues and we are continuing to work on a permanent solution for this issue introduced with the 4.8.1 update.

This week we will be releasing another update which will further improve game performance.

Stay tuned, we will keep you informed.

  1. Right….lits been a whole week now since i played this game 😦
    really really not happy at all,I have been in touch with EA now 4 times in a week they say the patch is coming soon????
    How much longer do us keen gameplayers have to wait,we all missing out on daily bonuses and mystery boxes 😦 Please EA hurry up with an update.

  2. I hated the Bunnies on the Easter update but now i wish they were still there as this update to get rid of them has made the game constantly crash!
    My name comes up on the tapped out screen and says tap to continue,when i do this the game immediately goes off 😦 Also when my friends visit me the game crashes too but yet how???????
    I got up this morning to 3 notifications saying certain people had visited my springfield yet my game is still crashing.Come on EA answers please or give us an eta on an update or a patch PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  3. Why did i just wait ages for a huge update on my ipad mini eh????
    Really thought this crash issue was fixed!!!
    Please tell me why new. things are being added to the game when there is a crash issue that needs to be fixed???

    • This update was a bit of a let down, I was really hoping for something bigger!

      Regarding the lag issue, bugs/glitches and content updates are handled by two different departments at EA. Sadly one can’t influence the other as the content updates department probably have a time frame they have to stick to. Besides, even EA don’t know how long it will take to get a permanent fix out to players right now!

  4. WHY HAS EA MADE AN UPDATE FOR NEW BUILDINGS AND CHARACTERS WHEN THE CRASHING ISSUE NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP???
    TSTO IS MY FAVOURITE GAME YET I HAVENT PLAYED IT NOW FOR OVER A WEEK BECAUSE THE GAME KEEPS CRASHING.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS OR GIVE US AN ESTIMATED TIME ON RELEASE OF THE NEW PATCH.
