Apple have confirmed that iOS 8 is coming this fall. No concrete release date for consumers has been announced as off yet but a BETA version for developers, like EA, can get there hands on the software today to ensure that their apps are fully compatible by the time Apple users get to download it.
The list of compatible devices were also released and, while I can’t remember all of them, iPhone models from the 4s to the 5c, iPad models from the iPad 2 to the Air, and the iPod Touch 5th Generation are compatible.
It was also mention specifically that EA are bringing their Gamefrost engine to mobile. They gave a small demo of it with Plants Vs Zombies and I have to say, if they’re going to use it with Tapped Out, it’s going to look amazing!
I’ll let you Apple users know when it’s available for download.
