When Will The Superbowl Update End?

It’s the question on every players mind right now! While it might seem like I’m about to make a wild guess, I’d like to think of it as a well calculated wild guess. If we go off of previous in-app updates, such as episode tie-ins, we should get a fairly close answer. All episode tie-in updates always end on the Monday after the new episode airs. This should be no different. Episode tie-ins usually come to an end at about 5/6pm in the US. Therefore, it stands to reason that this update should end around this time. Remember though, EA will give no advanced warning as to when the items will be removed, they will simply just disappear from the store.

Now the only question I have left to ask is, who are you rooting for?

PREMIUM CHOICES: Booberella – Is She Worth It?

Pro’s:

• She’s limited time so if you don’t buy her during the event, you might not get a chance to again!
• She’s a female character, which is pretty rare for this game
• She has a small questline which, at times, can be funny
• She earns the premium rate for her tasks
• She has a task that involves the peanut stand decoration

 

Con’s:

• She costs 100 doughnuts, which is pretty steep
• She doesn’t come with any buildings
• She’s not voiced (I can’t remember for sure though)
• Most of her tasks are indoors

Conventional Wisdom Pt. 1

• Lisa: Wow, Dad. What are you doing up so early?
• Homer: Getting ready for work.
• Lisa: But you rarely ever go to work. At least not on time. Or with — what’s the thing on your face — a smile?
• Homer: Yep. I’m smiling because for two glorious days and one even more glorious night, work isn’t actually going to be work. It’s going to be a convention!
• Lisa: What’s so great about that? What happens at a convention?
• Homer: Uh… nothing. Just work. It’s really boring.
• Homer: Now where’s that inflatable gorilla wearing women’s underwear that I ordered?

Episode Tie-In Update OUT NOW!

The very first episode tie-in of the new season is available now. There are more detailed posts coming in a few minutes but here’s just a quick overview of what’s happening:

 

• Homer and Lisa have a conversation when you log in
• Homer has a 12 Hour task to ”Wait for the Mail Man”
• You can purchase the PREMIUM item right away (more on this soon)

What Happens to My Limited Time Items When the Event is Over?

 

From time to time EA will release Limited Time Event items to coincide with an upcoming holiday or Simpsons episode. Once the event is over the items disappear from the store, and if you didn’t act when you had the chance odds are you’ll never be able to get the items again. But, what happens when the event is over? You purchased the items but do they stay in your Springfield? Is it safe to put them in your inventory? After all, no matter how funny it may be, you may not want a melted snowman on your beachfront in August.

Well, the good news is the items you collect during a limited time event are all yours to keep- forever. So you can put the snowman in inventory or, have a good laugh and, keep it on display all year long. The choice is all yours!
